It’s great to be back out in person

29 March 22 by Claire in Uncategorised

I have enjoyed a wonderful sense of freedom and engagement recently. This has been brought about by loving the great outdoor thanks to the better weather, and also due to finally being able to deliver my talks in person in front of a (usually) appreciative and attentive audience!

I have avoided the temptation to plant up my tubs and hanging baskets too early. I read of predicted snow in London in early April!

My daughter and I also spent time re-potting up our extensive House plant collection. Including cuttings, we counted over 120 plants! ooops….

On the talks front, I have enjoyed meeting some lovely clubs and having a laugh and facilitating some wonderful interactions.

If you are interested in my talks do have a look at my TALKS page.

Here is my most recent testimonial.

Claire came to speak at Thurloxton Garden Club recently. Due to covid constraints we have waited two years to hear her talk, “Square Metre Gardening”, but it was worth the wait. A very interesting and entertaining presentation about the principles of square metre gardening and how to maximise the space in your garden to grow edibles in a sustainable way. Her enthusiasm was a delight and I am sure our club will invite claire to come to talk again in the future.”

Christine Hamilton, Programme Secretary Thurloxton Gardening Club

I am looking forward to more talks ahead and am booking up for 2023 already!

Meanwhile…Roll on summer!

Grassroots Client Win at RHS Chelsea Flower Show

29 May 17 by Claire in Latest News

Sometime before Christmas 2016 I started talking to a friend who worked for the HTA about RHS Chelsea Flower Show. I was hoping to get a newly developed plant from my client, Suttons, into Chelsea Flower Show ! As luck would have it, she was working on a stand for renown horticulturalist, Peter Seabrook. He had linked up with the HTA (Horticultural Trades Association) to create a Chelsea garden celebrating his 50th anniversary of writing for The Sun newspaper.

"We worked together for 3 years with Claire (2014-2016). Claire helped us to resume contact and dialogue we had lost with egg producers.
She allowed us to explain our position and format our arguments which were too technical. She was able to get in touch and find a way to present our products and our motivations to discuss with Commercial layer market."
